Our forest managers and production managers carry out all types of forest services. If you wish, we will help you to formulate goals for your forest ownership in the form of a long term plan and budget. Moreover, we are experts in forestry finance including tax advice, tax returns, financial statements and capital analysis. Our experienced consultants handle legal and property matters such as intrusion, leases, valuation, purchase and sale of real estate.
With our broad expertise, we can work successfully and competently with generation change, co-ownership, and forest ownership on distance. Wildlife management, agricultural management and development of natural resources are the services we offer to more and more customers. And because we do not have our own industry, we are free to pursue the best timber business for you!
We offer help to all and sundry
Our customers have understood the various objectives of their ownership: some want to maximise their returns, save for their retirement or raise the property market value, while others want forest climate security. Some want natural forests, while others want better hunting grounds or a beautiful experience. And many want a bit of everything!The size of forest properties vary - we handle everything from 20 - 20 000 hectares. Most are private owners, but we also help many foundations and some 80 municipalities with the management of their forest capital. In such cases, we also develop recreational opportunities and natural experiences for municipality inhabitants. Several county councils have turned to us for help with the development of the natural resources of the forest.
Nationwide - With good international contacts
We administer 500 000 hectares in collaboration with large and small forest owners in Sweden, Norway and Latvia. We have about 40 offices, carefully located within our area of operations. We have great insight into the quality of forest contractors and the local timber and real estate market.Our timber trade is extensive. We are an efficient and reliable supplier of raw materials of timber, specialty assortments, pulpwood and bio-fuel to over 200 industrial customers in the Nordic countries, Europe and Asia. We handle about 2 million m3 of timber and we have a turnover of eur 150 million per year.
Since 1912
The Swedish Forest Society Foundation “Skogssällskapet” was founded in 1912. The commercial Group is owned by the Foundation, which aims to promote forest management and conservation. The Foundation annually awards approximately 800 000 eur for research and development, information and training.
