Heat the plant – not the planet
Demand for solid biofuels is rapidly increasing in Europe and the export of roundwood and forest fuels is a natural part of our business. In 2008 we exported volumes of timber corresponding to 800 000 – 1 000 000 MWh. The majority of our exports go to northern Europe via boats, but we also ship certain products across the world.
A safe and long-term partner
Most forestry companies in the Nordic countries own sawmills and industries whereas we are an independent supplier of timber without industries and the pertaining responsibilities they entail. This makes us a reliable, long-term partner on the North European market.Correct matching is important to us. We strive to supply CO2-neutral biofuel of the right quality at the right time and the right price. Environmentally certified products
As the demand is rising rapidly, we are developing the techniques and methods required to further increase the range of forest fuels. Our forestry is of course certified in accordance with FSC and PEFC. We supply FSC and PEFC certified timber and the other volumes are tested in accordance with the Controlled Wood. We are also an umbrella organization which certifies private forest owners in accordance with FSC and PEFC.A division of Skogssällskapet
Nordic Eco Fuels is a part of Skogssällskapet which was founded in 1912 and is an extremely solid group. We handle approximately 2 million cubic metres of timber per annum and have a turnover of 150 million Euros. The profit is used for research in order to promote forest management and nature conservation as well as to counteract climate change.Skogssällskapet manages 500 000 hectares of forest for large and small forest owners in Sweden, Norway and Latvia and we own 50 000 hectares in Sweden and Latvia.
